As I write this we are at anchor in La Paz. From La Cruz we basically retraced our steps to La Paz. First we went to Mazatlán where we spent just a couple of days, then crossed the Sea to the anchorage at Los Muertos. I think we spent 2 nights there before making our way to the La Paz area. We spent several nights anchored at some of the beautiful islands near La Paz before coming to La Paz itself.

We’ve been here in La Paz for a few weeks, enjoying ourselves, relaxing, eating good food, making new friends, and getting us and Casita ready to leave for Hawaii. Well the cupboards are full, the fridge and freezer are packed to bursting, our paperwork to officially depart Mexico is done, and we are ready! We leave tomorrow. This is both very exciting and scary. This will be our longest passage by far. We will sail about 3000 nautical miles and expect it to take us 3 to 4 weeks. That means 3 to 4 weeks of being underway nonstop and sleeping no more than 4 hours at a time as someone will always need to be on watch.
I don’t expect to update this blog before we make landfall in Hawaii but you can track our progress at the following sites (no need to create a login for either site):

So tonight we rest and tomorrow the next phase of this adventure begins!!
